Building upon their established reputation in the education recruitment sector, MAT Recruitment are pleased to announce the expansion of their service offerings with the launch of MAT Tutors.
Arguably, young students have been one of the most affected groups during the pandemic, with schools going through closures due to the lockdowns, students have missed out on developing key socials skills and have suffered adverse impacts on their ability to build upon their academic knowledge. These issues are further exacerbated by influencing factors, such as, limited access to technology, a suitable environment to learn or study from and for some students, difficulty in comprehension, especially where English isn’t their first language.
MAT Tutors aims to bridge these educational gaps by teaching well-structured lessons, with smaller groups to allow exclusive, personal interactions between the student and tutor. Conceived during the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic MAT Tutors was set up to address a growing demand providing vital support system for students aged between 5 & 16 requiring academic help. Early research indicates that these short term, targeted teaching sessions are effective in helping students bridge the gap, accelerating learning and improving their grades.
Currently we have a partnership with Aldridge Education to provide students with flexibly working, high standard tutors for their ‘Virtual Aldridge’ programme. CEO of Aldridge education, Jane Fletcher comments “Both MAT Recruitment and Aldridge Education seek to appoint candidates who want to close learning gaps for our students and leave no-one behind – that’s why we’re glad to work in partnership.”
