Policies
At MAT Recruitment, we are committed to upholding the highest standards in education recruitment. Our policies are thoughtfully developed by our experienced Management Team, drawing on expert guidance from HR professionals, legal advisors, and up-to-date industry best practices. This collaborative and informed approach ensures that our policies are not only compliant with current regulations but also practical, transparent, and aligned with the evolving needs of the schools and education professionals we support.
We undertake regular reviews and revisions of all policies to ensure they remain relevant, effective, and responsive to changes in legislation, safeguarding requirements, and the wider education landscape. This proactive policy development process reflects our core values of professionalism, pride, integrity, and a relentless focus on quality. Also reinforcing our ongoing commitment to delivering excellence in education across every aspect of our work.

Our commitment to robust policy and compliance
At MAT Recruitment, we understand that our role as a trusted education staffing partner places a significant responsibility on us not only to match high-calibre candidates with schools, but also to maintain the highest standards of governance, compliance and professional practice. That is why our Policies page brings together all the key documents that underpin our work: safeguarding and safer recruitment, data protection (GDPR), equal opportunities, complaints handling, and more.
Why our policies matter to you
Whether you are a school or academy seeking supply staff, a candidate registering with us, or a partner organisation, you will expect transparency and integrity. Our policies demonstrate how we manage and monitor risk, safeguard children and vulnerable young people, protect personal data, promote diversity and inclusion, and ensure fair, consistent recruitment processes. We believe this not only supports legal and regulatory compliance, but also builds trust, strengthens relationships and improves outcomes for learners.
What you can find here
On this page you will find links to our full policy documents, for example the Safeguarding & Safer Recruitment Policy, Recruitment & Selection Policy and Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Policy. Each document is reviewed annually (or more frequently if legislation changes) to ensure our standards remain current and fit-for-purpose. You will also find contact details if you wish to request a hard copy or discuss any policy in detail.
Our approach
We operate a continual review cycle: policies are updated as required (for example after any change in the law such as in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance) and our staff and candidates are briefed accordingly. We engage in internal audits, compliance checks and training to embed these standards.
