Yes, it’s that time of year again – it’s World Teacher Day 2022! Today we take time to reflect and thank all of the outstanding contributions teacher’s make across the world and how their support creates opportunities and potential for young people all around the globe. The theme for World Teachers’ Day this year is: “Teachers at the heart of education recovery” and here at MAT Recruitment, we could not think of a better theme for this year especially!
Teachers work so hard to guide, inspire, educate and mentor us every single day – they are coaches that spur us on and keep us on track to unlock our full potential and don’t limit students in their goals and achievements. In our opinion, we think it should be World Teachers’ Day every day! Teachers are so incredibly dedicated to their roles and responsibilities in shaping and moulding the future of today’s minds and helping them become more knowledgeable individuals, who are prepared to make and take academic risks. However, teachers don’t just inspire us academically, but they also inspire us to become more confident and self-assured individuals, who have the courage to make decisions and choices in our lives and careers. Even as fully-fledged ‘adults’ we still see the work and foundations teachers have laid down behind us in our lives, and we have them to thank for the paths we have taken. Without the ongoing support from teachers, arguably we would not be able to see our full potential and reach new boundaries and set goals for us to aspire to. The constant encouragement that teachers provide for their students have a long-lasting affect on people’s lives.
It is fair to say that we often forget that teachers don’t just provide us with academic skills and tools that are vital for our self-development and career prospects, but they also provide us with life lessons and the encouragement to aspire to be and do whatever we want to do in our lives. So, for this, we thank you teachers and are so, so very grateful for all that you do and the effort you put in to making a real difference in education!
